Frequently asked questions about Kepler

The questions we get asked most often: what an account actually risks, what happens when you move to another computer, how the seven-day trial works, what a licence covers, and how to reach us when something goes wrong.

Could I lose my account?

Automating is against the OGame rules, and an account can be sanctioned. Kepler spaces out its actions like a player and gives each bot its own fingerprint, but no tool can promise impunity. Keep the settings "human", the defaults are perfectly fine.

Do my OGame credentials go to you?

No. The bot runs on your machine and connects straight to Gameforge. Your credentials are encrypted in its data directory and never pass through any of our servers. See the

security page

for more details.

What happens if your site goes down?

Your bots carry on. The licence is checked offline, the bot only contacts us to renew it, and it keeps several days of slack.

Do I have to leave my computer on?

Yes for the local version hosted by yourself.

No for the Cloud version hosted by Kepler.

Can I run several universes?

Yes. One bot per OGame account, and your licence covers as many as it states.

How do I stop everything?

Close the console, or the terminal. Nothing is installed, nothing starts with the system, no service runs in the background.
